How it works
Choose a date, time, and group size online. You'll see real availability — no back-and-forth.
Secure your booking with a card online. A confirmation email lands in your inbox immediately.
We light the stove ahead of your session so the sauna's at temperature when you walk in.
Lake Diefenbaker in summer, snow in winter. We'll send a reminder the day before either way.
Two seasons, one sauna
The stove doesn't care if it's June or January — it just needs wood. Where the sauna sits is the only thing that changes.
Parked on the riverbank inside Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park, 50 km north of Swift Current, where the South Saskatchewan River widens into Lake Diefenbaker. Steam in the coulees, then walk straight into the lake. Right in the park's glamping section, too — easy to turn your sauna session into a full overnight stay.
Book the lake sauna →We trailer the sauna to your yard, acreage, ice-fishing spot, or event anywhere reachable from Swift Current. All that’s required is a fairly level spot that is at least 24′ × 8′ for the sauna and trailer to sit. Built for −30°C — the colder it is outside, the better it feels inside.

Saskatchewan Landing's glamping site sits lakefront on Lake Diefenbaker in a fully treed five-and-a-half acres, just steps from where we set up. Family and couples canvas cabins, real beds, a fire pit, and some of the darkest skies in the province once the sun goes down. Pairing a sauna session with a night there turns a couple of hours into a full prairie escape.
Run by Glamping Resorts Ltd, set up right in the park, lakefront and fully treed — the easiest way to turn a sauna booking into a real getaway.

Why sauna
Modern research keeps catching up to what Finns have known forever. Here are ten evidence-backed reasons to make sauna a regular part of your life.
Regular sauna use mimics moderate exercise — raising heart rate and improving circulation. Studies show it can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease by up to 50% with frequent sessions.
Heat increases blood flow to tired muscles, flushing out lactic acid and reducing soreness. Athletes use sauna post-workout to recover faster and feel better the next day.
The heat triggers a release of endorphins — your body's natural feel-good chemicals. Cortisol levels drop, muscles unwind, and you emerge noticeably calmer than when you walked in.
The drop in core body temperature after leaving the sauna signals your brain that it's time to sleep. Users consistently report falling asleep faster and staying in deep sleep longer.
Heavy sweating opens pores and flushes out impurities. Increased circulation brings nutrients to skin cells, giving your complexion a healthy, post-session glow that lasts for hours.
The artificial fever created by sauna heat stimulates white blood cell production. Regular users get sick less often — research links frequent sauna use to fewer colds and respiratory infections.
Heat therapy relaxes tight muscles and reduces inflammation around joints. People with arthritis, back pain, and chronic tension often find lasting relief after regular sauna sessions.
Sauna sessions increase BDNF — a protein that supports brain cell growth. Regular use is associated with improved focus, reduced brain fog, and a lower risk of cognitive decline with age.
Beyond endorphins, sauna heat raises levels of norepinephrine and serotonin — the same neurotransmitters targeted by antidepressants. Many users describe a lasting sense of calm and wellbeing.
Sweating is one of the body's most effective ways to shed heavy metals and environmental toxins. A single 20-minute session can produce as much sweat as an hour of moderate exercise.
